Renè Rohrbeck is Professor of Strategy at the EDHEC Business School, France. Professor Rohrbeck is best known for his pioneering work on future preparedness of organizations. Having worked in two disrupted industries, automobile and telecommunication, he grew passionate about understanding how leading organizations use foresight to anticipate future markets and strategies that work under uncertainty. He has developed the Future FITness model, which measures the ability of organizations to use foresight to drive innovation and transformation.
Today, as the head of the Center for Net Positive Business at the EDHEC Business School, he runs two programs with industry partners that map sustainability pathways for decarbonizing the built environment and driving accessibility of healthy nutrition, he is a UNESCO Chair on Organizational Anticipation, and he serves on the World Economic Forum’s Advisory Board for Strategic Foresight.
Matthias Wenzel is Professor of Organization Studies at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany. He examines practices of organizing and strategizing as well as their societal implications, shaping areas of research such as future-making and strategy as practice. His work has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Human Relations, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Organization Studies, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Strategic Management Journal. Furthermore, Matthias currently serves as Senior Editor of Organization Studies, SMS Coeditor for Media Innovations, Chair-elect of the AOM Strategizing Activities and Practices Interest Group, and Editorial Board Member of the Project Management Journal and Strategic Organization.
