Call for participation

XXXIII AiIG PhD School
«Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence»

Organized by University of Genoa

The general aim of the School is to provide PhD students with a comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of how artificial intelligence is transforming educational practices and learning experiences. Participants will explore how to effectively integrate AI tools into the design and delivery of educational programs, while developing critical insights into the pedagogical implications, ethical considerations, and innovative methodologies enabled by AI in contemporary education.

More specifically, the development of the School is guided by two main objectives:

  • Learning with AI: Understanding how AI-enhanced learning experiences support the development of critical thinking skills, improve student capabilities, accelerate knowledge acquisition, and foster self-directed learning—while maintaining academic integrity and promoting AI literacy.
  • Teaching with AI: Exploring how AI-powered teaching tools enhance the design and implementation of effective educational programs in terms of content, methodology, and learning pathways, while enabling continuous and tailored evaluation of student progress.
