Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

The AiIG “Special Interest Groups” (SIGs) is a new initiative designed for all AiIG members willing to share their research progress in focused areas with the AiIG community and collect valuable feedback. The aim is also promoting the cooperation within the AiIG community in order to explore synergies, engage in joint projects and apply to funding calls.

Considering the increasing number of researchers joining AiIG and the variety of the research topics in our community, this initiative aims to offer the opportunity to create/join a network of researchers focused on a specific research area and – above all – to organize online seminars on specific topics (SIG Seminars) open to all AiIG members and to everyone interested in such topics.

The benefits for AiiG members to join a SIG are:

  1. being part of a stable group of scholars working in the same field at the domestic/international level,
  2. sharing and collecting ideas for potential papers to be presented at the AiIG annual meetings and/or published,
  3. building a network to organize special issues on academic journals or submit proposals for funding (e.g. PRIN).

The SIG groups are collaborative research platforms open to all AiIG members. Anyone interested in joining can check the “News” section of the AiIG website for more information about planned activities and events or contact the members listed below.
